About GDG on Campus- KITS, Ramtek

GDG on Campus- KITS, Ramtek is a student-led technical community that brings together students interested in Google technologies and modern development practices. The forum provides a platform for learning, collaboration, and innovation through workshops, hands-on sessions, hackathons and tech talks, helping students enhance their technical and professional skills.

The Google Developer Group (GDG) on Campus was established in the Institute in 2023. Since then, the group has been continuously working towards enhancing technical skills and fostering a strong developer culture within the student community.

Objectives of GDG on Campus- KITS, Ramtek

  • To create a strong technical community on campus.
  • To promote learning of Google developer technologies.
  • To provide hands-on experience through workshops and projects.
  • To encourage innovation, creativity and problem-solving skills.
  • To bridge the gap between academics and industry requirements.

3 UI/UX Session and Competition An interactive event combining learning and hands-on experience in UI/UX design. Participants will then take part in a design competition where they can apply their creativity and problem-solving skills, showcase their talent, and receive feedback from mentors. 25/08/2025

6 DevOps Essentials Workshop A beginner-friendly workshop introducing students to the DevOps lifecycle: CI/CD, containerization with Docker, automation with GitHub Actions, and deployment with cloud platforms. 31/01/2026
7 AI-Mazing Build Day A mini hackathon where participants build small projects using AI APIs (OpenAI, HuggingFace, etc.). Encourages creativity and rapid prototyping. 07/02/2026
8 Build Your Brand: Portfolio Bootcamp A workshop that helps students create personal portfolios using HTML/CSS/JS or React, and host them online (GitHub Pages/Netlify). Also covers resume-building and LinkedIn optimization. 15/02/2026
9 DevHack 2.0 DevHack 2.0 is the flagship 24-hour hackathon of GDG KITS, bringing together students from KITS and other colleges to collaborate, innovate, and build impactful solutions. 25/02/2026
